Rebecca Garza

I have been helping startups and small businesses grow for over fourteen years through design, S.E.O., marketing, and consulting. I have worked with clients throughout Canada and the U.S. from a myriad of industries... from the trades, restaurants, accountants, and online stores to a social media network, consultants, health practitioners, and public figures.

"Startup to Success" is the process that I developed to guide an entrepreneur at any stage through steps to build both a recognizable brand and a thriving, viable business. I created Startup to Success Media, Marketing and Consulting Agency to be able to provide all the services a burgeoning business may need to grow. I am so proud of the team that I have had the privilege to assemble to make this a reality. I am honored that they believe in my dream and want to be a part of it.

In my free time, I love driving fast cars, traveling, and spending time with the loves of my life, my partner, Rolando, and my children, who are the reason I became an entrepreneur myself in the first place.

When you work for/with a team that all shares the same goal of growth & inspiration, you tend to thrive. Being able to express myself through my work entirely has been an eye-opener; since leaving the typical 9-5 job style, I've realized I can still help others while continuing to learn each day. It's a creative outlet like no other, creating relatable content, spreading positive light, and lending that helping hand. 

Since the pandemic hit, many of our favorite activities have been put on hold; but that doesn't mean there's nothing to be explored, hobbies to take up, or movies to be watched! Most of my free time is spent with a good book or trying to hack a new videogame my boyfriend is raving about. Who knew online Uno could be so fun? While it is different from the usual hikes with the fur babies or popcorn and the newest horror movie, I've also recently tuned-in to my crafty side with jewelry making & nail art. I've come to see and realize a deeper appreciation for the things and people we're surrounded by; despite the chaos going on around us.

​I joined the team last summer to research and write articles. It’s nice to have creative projects coming my way during a time of complicated careers for college students. I’m currently studying at The Professional Salon Academy after attending Lake Michigan College. My personal time is also largely artistic; I really love piano, vocals, theatre, and makeup artistry.

Dana Walsh

​I have worked for small businesses for most of my adult life. Through each of the opportunities, I realized that I have a passion for helping business owners grow and thrive. I found entrepreneurs to be some of the most inspiring and hardest working people I’ve ever met.  I harnessed my creative power and honed in on my photography, writing and graphic design skills to be able to help these business owners. While I always knew I was going to end up in the creative industry, I never envisioned myself working in marketing. I’m so fortunate that my experiences lead me here. I absolutely love what I do!
 
When I’m not working, you can find me playing and taking photos of my baby boy, going on adventures (big and small), enjoying time with my incredible husband, who is the king of dad jokes by the way, or hanging out with friends. Even though I am an introvert, I love being around people. My favorite things include summer, kittens, donuts, conversations with friends that make you forget all about checking your phone and traveling.

Prior to taking the leap into entrepreneurship, I fulfilled various sales leadership roles for over 10 years and across multiple industries. Strong, genuine customer relationships have always been of top priority and will remain of top priority in everything I do.

Much of this passion originally stems from my collegiate education in Marketing, Sales and Public Relations from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in Vancouver, BC. There, I discovered my drive, grit and excitement for lifelong learning, networking, and professional growth. Today I remain a lifelong learner as I’m currently undertaking Strategic Intervention Training and Empowerment Coach Training.  Simply put, I’m a networker and connector, always ready to help others expand their horizons while simultaneously expanding my horizons. I have a long history of connecting people in ways that benefit both (all) parties.

​I’m ecstatic to be part of the Start-Up to Success Media, Marketing and Consulting Agency. As an entrepreneur, I can't say enough how helpful Rebecca LeClaire and her team have been. Personally, Rebecca has helped me progress through all the necessary steps to grow my dream, which has helped land me where I am today. When I was going off course, she pulled me back in. Our journey together has been profound. I can personally attest to Rebecca’s skillset in getting businesses from “Start-Up to Success”, as this is exactly what she has done for me (and I have witnessed her do for others)! I am truly thrilled to be part of the STS team, as I’m now able to be further involved in sharing resources that can help other entrepreneurs get up and running on the path of success.
